Television has been around since our grandparents' grandparents were still kicking. Action programs have been a staple for as long as it was capable. Television does tend to have more censorship on it for violence than movies and games, so most here would be a bit more violent than they are in their own show. A chance for them to go as hard as they do in lore on screen. From Television: Buffy (Buffy the Vampire Slayer) - An anticipated character that's already been mentioned by Ed Boon. Like with most of the TV characters, it's more about the character being "unleashed" in MK because TV has heavier censorship than video games. She has a vast array of weapons for slaying vampires and other monsters. Given that Nitara exists, we know who her rival would be. Time will tell if she's in the cards. I've decided to go over my thoughts on MK guest characters and how each game tends to follow a loose theme. Horror in MKX, action movies in MK11, and seemingly comic books for MK1... with some exceptions. With this in mind, I devised a wish list for characters that fit within certain themes for future waves representing certain mediums/genres. First up is the most obvious, gaming. From Gaming: 1) Albert Wesker (Resident Evil) - RE offers a whole host of picks from Leon to Nemesis to Lady Dimitrescu. Personally, I'd have to go with the main antagonist for over half the franchise. He's got the cool factor, the genetic mutations, the… gun. He's also got some great dialogue potential. He's just a great villain. 2) Doom Slayer (DOOM) - Need I say more? 3) Lara Croft (Tomb Raider) - An icon to video games. She's got guns, pickaxes, flares, etc. The modern games even come with their own fatalities. Not just an adventure heroine, but a great representation of where gaming was heading
